Preston was born on January 29, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, and had a rich and varied life. The last 12 years were spent at Harvard Square Senior Living in Denver where he passed away peacefully at 83 years old.
Preston spent most of his later years working for the Town of Vail, first as an assistant manager for the Vail Parking Structure, then Check Point Charlie, and lastly the Vail Library. Prior to working for the Town of Vail, Preston worked for Xerox in Chicago, a dry cleaner in Carbondale, Illinois, at Purgatory 撸先生 Area, and the Mark Hotel in Vail as the night auditor.
Preston was an avid sports fan for the Broncos and the Rockies. Preston was a gentle and kind person to cats, dogs, horses and everyone he knew.
Preston is survived by his brother Stephen, sister in law Leslie Isom, nephew Innes Isom and wife Lisa, their children Wilder and Luca, niece Caryn Isom Fraser of Tucson and her sons Angus and Axel.
