Letter: Thanks for the excellent care
I was the beneficiary of the excellent care and skill provided by the Eagle River Fire Protection District and Eagle County Paramedic Services. I feel that we are so extremely lucky in this valley to have these services with such professional, skilled and amazing people.
I was moving a piece of furniture when I fractured two vertebrae. It was such a welcome sight to see them come to the door and then be helped by them. The Vail hospital is a gem staffed by some of the brightest and best medical workers in the country. When my husband and I are not here, we are in New York City where we have an apartment.
New York has one of the best medical systems anywhere 鈥� but I feel the quality of our services here are very special. Our doctors, nurses, aides, etc. could live anywhere in the country, but choose to live here because of the quality of life in the valley.
I thank all those who helped me that day 鈥� really too many to name. They were exceptional.
