Kelli Duncan was a reporter for the Vail Daily covering crime and courts, the town of Eagle and general news from May 2021 to May 2022. She has previously reported on immigration as well as municipal and county government.
Duncan grew up in the Chicagoland area before attending Butler University in Indianapolis, graduating with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science. She then returned to Chicago and worked as a freelance reporter for various area newspapers under Chronicle Media and the Chicago Tribune.
She first moved to the Eagle Valley in 2018 when she worked with the Eagle Valley Community Foundation and authored a monthly column for the Vail Daily. After moving back to Chicago to cover local government for the Northwest Herald, Duncan returned to the valley in May of 2021.
